Who is behind Credit Unions Compared

Radif Partners

Independent publisher of a state-by-state reference to US credit unions, built on the quarterly federal filings, with comparison and share insurance tools

Credit Unions Compared is published by Radif Partners, a company that builds free reference tools on public data. This one exists because every credit union in the country reports the same figures to a federal agency each quarter, and those figures sit in a set of raw files that few people will ever open, while most lists of credit unions show offers and leave them out.

What the site does

The finder lists every credit union based in a state, with its size, capital, late loans and branches. The comparison puts two side by side. The health check runs five tests of our own on one filing, and the share insurance calculator adds up a member’s balances against the federal limit. Each state and the District has a page of its own.

Where the figures come from

All financial figures come from the NCUA’s Call Report files, a U.S. government work. Rules on share insurance and capital come from the agency’s pages and from 12 CFR Part 702. Membership rules appear only where we read them on a credit union’s own page, with the date. The method page describes the accounts and the checks.

What we are not

We are not the NCUA, a credit union, a bank or an adviser. This is general information, not financial advice or legal advice. We do not rate credit unions on anyone’s behalf, and our tests are not official. Nothing here means an institution would accept you as a member.

How the site is paid for

Nothing is sold here. There is no affiliate link, no lead form and no sponsored place in a table. If advertising is added one day, it will never sit inside a tool, it will not come from a credit union in a table, and it cannot use what you type, which never leaves your browser.

Tell us when something is wrong

If a figure differs from the filing, or a credit union has changed its rules, write to contact@creditunionscompared.com with the page. The editorial policy explains how a correction is made and dated. The site has 69 pages of tools and guides.
